Two-part class: Sunday February 16, and Monday February 17, 6:30-8:30pm
Sinus infections, cough/cold, fever…. “tis the season”. If you’ve suffered any of these symptoms or something similar, you know the misery and pain it can bring. Medications are great but can often leave you groggy and unable to function not to mention dealing with the side effects.
My name is Susie McClellan. I am a massage therapist/instructor and mom of four. Growing up among people who were famous for their “alternative medicine” as well as taking and teaching multiple classes on hydrotherapy, I am passionate about these easy to use at home treatments for common ailments such as cold viruses, sinus infections and the flu for children and adults. These treatments have a history that goes way back into old world Europe (a part of the world known for its alternative and wholistic medical practices) and I use them as a regular part of my at home medicinal arsenal. There is minimal equipment needed to perform these treatments and best of all there are NO SIDE EFFECTS!
This class takes place over two evenings from 6:30pm-8:30pm. You will learn 2 basic hydrotherapy techniques that are useful for a multitude of ailments. There is a brief lecture period and demonstration then we get right to practicing. Class attendees will pair up (bring a partner with you if you can) and practice these techniques on each other while I guide you through the process. The first night we will perform alternating compress treatments for the sinuses. On evening 2 we will practice a fever treatment.
Costs for attending both classes is $5 per person. You will take home a printed handout of the treatments you learn and how to apply them.
